Open Community Groups
Scheduled sessions open to individual registration. Participants are grouped by pace preference on the day of the walk. No prior membership required.
Whether you arrive alone or with colleagues, our group sessions connect people interested in exploring Amsterdam on foot. Groups are organised by pace, schedule, and neighbourhood preference. These are recreational leisure activities only.
Join a Group Session
Scheduled sessions open to individual registration. Participants are grouped by pace preference on the day of the walk. No prior membership required.
Reserved sessions for pre-formed groups such as teams, clubs, or friend circles. Custom route and timing available.
Participants enrolled in a seasonal programme who walk together across multiple scheduled sessions.
Designed for newcomers to Amsterdam, focusing on orientation walks through central districts with extra navigation guidance.
You submit a request via our contact form, indicating preferred dates, pace, and whether you are joining alone or with others.
We assign you to a session based on availability and pace category. Confirmation includes meeting point, route name, and guide details.
Arrive at the meeting point, meet your guide and fellow participants, and set off together on the planned route.
Joining alone is common. Open community sessions are designed to welcome individual registrants and facilitate introductions naturally during the walk.
Friends, couples, or small groups of up to four may register together and will be placed in the same session, subject to availability.
We maintain moderate group sizes to ensure guides can manage the route effectively and participants can engage with one another.
Open sessions typically include 8 to 14 participants plus one guide. Private sessions can accommodate 6 to 20 participants depending on route width and conditions.
Participants select a pace category during registration: relaxed, moderate, or extended. Groups are not mixed across pace categories within a single session.
One guide leads groups up to 14 participants. Larger private groups may include an assistant guide to maintain group cohesion at junctions and crossings.
Companies and organisations book private group sessions as outdoor leisure activities. These are recreational walking events — not corporate training, wellness programmes, or professional development services.
Structured walks through business districts, parks, or cultural areas. Duration and route customised to your schedule.
Single-session or recurring walks for department groups. Invoicing and group registration handled through a designated contact person.
Morning or afternoon walking sessions for conference attendees staying in Amsterdam. Routes designed around hotel locations.
Social clubs, expat groups, and community organisations regularly book recurring walking sessions with us. We offer programme-style arrangements where the same group walks together on a fixed weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
Club coordinators receive a dedicated contact channel for scheduling, route rotation, and participant list management. Discounts may apply for multi-session programme bookings as outlined in our Terms of Use.
Introduction groups focus on helping new residents and long-term visitors understand Amsterdam's layout, transport connections, and neighbourhood character through guided walking.
Walks through Centrum and surrounding districts that explain canal ring structure, tram line connections, and key landmark orientation points.
Sessions in De Pijp, Oost, and Noord that introduce local amenities, markets, parks, and practical daily-life routes between common destinations.
We offer relaxed-pace sessions on predominantly flat routes with minimal stairs. Contact us before registering to discuss specific mobility needs. We will recommend suitable routes and advise on terrain conditions honestly.
Our primary session language is English. Dutch-language sessions are available for private groups upon request. Guides provide route commentary in the confirmed language for the session.
Participants aged 16 and above may register independently. Younger participants may join when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who assumes full responsibility for their supervision throughout the session.
Arrive on time at the meeting point. Guides begin briefings at the scheduled start and cannot delay the group for late arrivals beyond ten minutes.
Participants treat fellow walkers, guides, and residents with courtesy. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the session without refund.
Remain within sight of the guide throughout the session. If you need to leave early, inform the guide at the nearest pause point.
Tell us your preferred pace, schedule, and whether you are registering individually or as a group. We respond within two business days with session options.
